Pastoral Council

The Parish Pastoral Council is a group of parishioners, along with the Parish Staff, who advise and support the Pastor in promoting the spiritual growth of the parish community and in planning ways for the parish to carry out the mission of the church. The Pastoral Council is regulated by the norms issued by the Bishop of the Cleveland Diocese and is committed to the pursuit of "Catholicity" in all policies and recommendations. This consultative body deals with Pastoral planning and policies through the discernment of the parish pastoral needs, the fostering of parish vision, the communication and sharing of that vision, and the proper utilization of parish resources. The Pastoral Council strives to open channels of communication in the Parish and is committed to continuing growth and success of all organization within the Parish. The Pastoral Council consists of the Pastor, Associate Pastor, the Pastoral staff, and nine to ten laity. The laity serve a three-year term. These terms are staggered so that one third of the members are selected each year.

Meetings are held on the third Thursday of each month in the Lower Rectory Hall after the 7:00pm Mass. Membership on council is open to all parishioners. If you are interested in serving on the Pastoral Council, please contact Fr. Chris, Fr. Justin, or any of the council members. Introduction of Pastoral Candidates takes place in May and discernment of new members takes place in June.
