With the onset of August comes the time to prepare for the resurgence of the programs that had a summer hiatus: RCIA is one of these programs. The acronym for Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults, the RCIA is a process by which those who were never baptized or those Christians who are part of another denomination become members of the Catholic faith. The entire process; indeed, each facet of the process, involves the Catholic community as a means of strengthening those inquiring into the Catholic Church so as
to provide the moral and spiritual support they need to complete their faith journey.

Many of you have seen the rituals performed during the Lenten Season and the Sacraments of Initiation conferred during the Easter Vigil. However, the process begins with instructions which begin around Labor Day in a group setting facilitated by a team which forms a small community that lends support for the person inquiring into the Catholic Faith.

Do you know someone who is interested in becoming Catholic? If so, call Fr. Louis at 440 526-1177 ext. 220. You’ll be glad you did.
