Before we know it Lent will be well on its way. It’s time to formulate our Lenten resolutions and get the good works we will be performing during this Holy Time in good order.

Here are some things we might consider. First, a good preparation:

  • Our Parish Mission, ‘Believe and Repent’ begins Sunday evening at 7:00pm and continues Monday and Tuesday evenings at 7:00pm. Confessions are available before and after the conferences each evening of the Mission.
  • Ash Wednesday, the 1st day of Let for Roman Catholics, is on February 22nd. Masses and the distribution of Blessed Ashes will be 6:30 and 8:30am., 1:00 and 7:00pm. Also, the Altar & Rosary Society is sponsoring its traditional ‘Day of Recollection’ on Ash Wednesday. The speaker is Fr. Joseph Tuscan, OFM Cap. Who will speak on Christian Mothers. The day begins at 8:30am and concludes with the Mass at 1:00pm.
  • Each Wednesday of Lent there will be the ‘Way of the Cross Devotions’ at 6:30pm with a
  • Series of talks by Fr. Michael Brunovsky, OSB on the Holy Shroud and aspects of the Passion of Jesus on March 15th, 22nd and 29th following the ‘Way of the Cross’. Come join us this Lenten Season.

In a few short weeks Lent will begin and so will our Fabulous Fish Fries. Naturally, we are in need of volunteers to help serve, cook, clean-up & dish duty. Please consider lending a hand to assist us in whatever capacity you are able. People come from far and near to enjoy themselves and get a first-rate meal at a good price. What makes the fish fries really fabulous, however, is the willingness of parishioners to get involved & give of themselves to assure that the fish fries are successful. For Confirmation candidates and those needing service hours this is a good opportunity for you to get those needed service hours. Drop a note in the collection basket with your name & phone number, or call the rectory or answer online if you are interested. Thank you for all you do to make our fish fries a success!!
