Please allow me to express my deepest apology for the unfortunate events and inconveniences associated with last Friday’s Fish Fry. While we know that our Fish Fry is loved and everyone was giving overwhelming support, the amount of support literally overwhelmed our resources and many things went awry. We owe a deep apology to the city of Broadview Heights and its police force who had to contend with the gridlock traffic that ensued because of the long lines for the drive-through. These results were certainly not in our plans.
Because of this, things have to change. The first change is that the drive-through option is now eliminated. The Fish Fry will be all take-out, meaning you will have to park your vehicles to come and retrieve your order. There will be seating inside, socially distanced, where you can receive your order. This worked out well last year when we first faced the pandemic and it should work better this year as well.
The second change depends on your cooperation. Last week, there were people coming at 4:00 getting in line for a 4:30 order. Then when people came whose orders were actually at 4:00, they received their meals late because they had a long line in which to wait. So please, DO NOT COME EARLY FOR YOUR ORDER, IT MOST PROBABLY
WILL NOT BE READY AND YOU’LL JUST HAVE A FRUSTRATING WAIT. WE WILL MAKE EVERY EFFORT TO HAVE YOUR ORDERS ON TIME IN THEFUTURE. P LEASE DO US THIS FAVOR TO HELP US AND YOUR FELLOW CUSTOMERS. More particulars will be in the bulletin, on the website and our Facebook page.
I would like to express a note of gratitude to those who remained patient despite the circumstances, our volunteers who worked nonstop during the fish-fry, and the Broadview Heights Police Force who directed traffic.
We pray that the changes made make the fish-fry a success.
