PSR

Assumption PSR - Virtual (via Zoom) or Family PSR - Your Choice!

Option One: Virtual PSR via Zoom

Your child will meet with their Catechist via Zoom every Monday (beginning September 14) from 6:30 - 7:30 pm. Students must log in with their camera on and attendance will be taken. Your child will enjoy learning about their faith with their catechist through their textbooks, discussion, videos, shared documents and fun activities!

Option Two: Family PSR

Students and parents work through the PSR curriculum together at home. Students must demonstrate an understanding of the material through unit tests and projects. Parents have the opportunity to share their faith with their children on an intimate level. After all, parents are the first and most important teachers their children will ever have!
Virtual PSR begins Monday, September 14!

Why at home learning?

I took many things into consideration before making my decision that either virtual or family PSR was the best choice for this school year.

  • The safety of our students: Parents are discouraged from entering the building, so young students would be exiting after dark into the parking lot.
  • ┬áThe decision of school districts around us: Each school district has made a decision about the learning environment that is best for each district. We would be bringing in students from 4+ districts together, and I didn't think this was wise.
  • The possibility of schools being closed once again: We are now set up for a year of virtual learning. We will not need to worry about snow days or the possibility of another school shut down.
