Deacon David Streeter
I have been called many things during my life; here are the ones I can write down. Husband, dad, son, brother, uncle friend, David, Davey, Father and Deacon. I was married in 1967 to the love of my life Marilynn Cigon. I was ordained in 1985 after 4 years of diaconate formation. I have had 3 assignments in my 33 years of ministry. I spent 3 years at Ascension, 21 years at St. Luke and 5 going on 6 here at Assumption. Marilynn and I have 5 children and 12 grandchildren. We live in Lakewood in the same house for the last 32 years.
My ministry responsibilities here at Assumption are many. I will do whatever God and Fr. Justin ask of me. Here are a few of them. I schedule ministers to take the Eucharist to the parish homebound. I am the Spiritual Director for Holy Name and team director for RCIA. I enjoy my ministry here.
Last but not least I am a convert. I was received into the church back in 1972, I have a unique closeness to the Eucharist. I thank God for the many blessings he has bestowed on me and my family.
