Sacred music is an important part of the Catholic Funeral Mass. Through prayer and song, we express our faith in the Resurrection and entrust our loved one to God's loving care.

Before your planning meeting, we invite you to listen to the hymn selections below. As you prayerfully consider each hymn, you may note your preferences and bring them with you to your meeting. Our Music Director will also be happy to assist you in selecting music that is appropriate for the liturgy.

Important Details about Music at Funeral Masses: 

The Director of Music will play the piano and/or organ and sing during the funeral Mass.

Optional: If the family would prefer a cantor to lead the Mass, one can be arranged with advance notice.

If the family would like alternative music selections that are not listed on this planning sheet, please contact the music director to discuss the use of particular songs during Mass. 

If there are any requests outside the ordinary (i.e. the family would like to bring in their own musicians, have a family member sing, have somebody play an accompanying instrument during the Mass, etc.) please contact the music director via email with information in advance of the service, so that details can be discussed and arranged.
