June 2, 2024

Today as we honor the Body and Blood of Christ, let us not forget or take for granted the great gift that has been bestowed on us the Church: the gift that fulfills Jesus' promise that he would be with us all days until the end of time. Do your best to receive the Eucharist worthily and take some time out of your busy schedules to spend with Jesus our Friend. It is certainly well spent! Today after the 11:30 Mass we will have the traditional Eucharistic Procession around the Assumption Campus. Come and join the procession in honor of our Eucharistic Lord. It brings us great spiritual benefits to us and is time well spent.

We congratulate the young men and women who will graduate from Assumption Academy after 9 years of growing and learning together. Many memories were made and friendships forged during these years when their bodies, minds and spirits were guided into following God's plan for each of them. We thank Mr. Kaliszewski our Principal, the faculty and staff, especially Mr. Robert Brownfield, the 8th grade teacher, and the parents who sacrificed so much to ensure their sons and daughters a quality Catholic education. May God guide and bless their future endeavors. We also extend our heartfelt congratulations to all the graduates from our parish who graduated from public grade schools, as well as our high school and college graduates. May the Holy Spirit bestow his grace on them as they follow the path God marks out for them.

This week, Fr. Louis and I will be on retreat. Please remember that Mass will be at 8:30 a.m. only from Tuesday through Friday, June 4-7. Be assured of my prayers for all of you during this time of retreat; please pray for us as well.
