Pastor Notes
Today as we honor the Body and Blood of Christ, let us not forget or take for granted the great gift that has been bestowed on us the Church: the gift that fulfills Jesus’ promise that he would be with us all days until the end of time. Do your best to receive the Eucharist worthily and take some time out of your busy schedules to spend with Jesus our Friend. Today after the 11:30 Mass we will have the traditional Eucharistic Procession around the Assumption Campus. Come and join the procession in honor of our
Eucharistic Lord. It brings great spiritual benefits to us and is time well spent!
This Friday, June 27, we celebrate the beautiful Feast of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus. Our blessed Lord appeared to St. Margaret Mary and asked her to petition that a Feast in honor of our Lord’s Heart be established in reparation for the sins committed by people everywhere. Because we were unable to have First Friday Devotions in June because of our retreat and will be unable to do so on the 4th of July, we will have a special day of reparation on the feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. After Mass at 8:30 a.m., the
Blessed Sacrament will be exposed on the altar in church until 7:00 p.m. when we will have Devotions to the Sacred Heart and Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament. All are invited to come and show their love for Jesus, who spends himself for love of us and continues to draw us closer to himself, having mercy on us.
