We celebrate Divine Mercy Sunday today with exposition of the Blessed Sacrament and special devotions at 3:00 p.m. which include veneration of the Divine Mercy image, solemn chanting of the Divine Mercy Chaplet, Benediction of the Most Blessed Sacrament, and Blessing of the Sick with the Relic of the True Cross. Come and avail yourselves of the stream of mercy that flows from the Heart of Jesus out of love for us. When we honor Christ's suffering, we cannot help but be graced and blessed.

A most sincere expression of gratitude is in order for all in the parish who made our Holy Week and Easter truly remarkable and meaningful. Those who prepared the palms, stayed after the Good Friday evening devotions to assist the Altar-Rosary Society and Knights of Columbus in decorating the Church, the music ministry under the direction of David Bird, and those who prepared the Easter Fire and other necessities for the ceremonies are truly to be congratulated for a job well done. This help truly blesses our parish by enabling us to enter into the mysteries we celebrate during this holy time. We also thank those who sent cards and well wishes to us this Easter. Your affection means so very much to us. May the Risen Jesus bless your homes and families with his peace and joy. We also wish to welcome Dan Thyret who was received into the Catholic Church and received the sacraments of initiation at the Easter Vigil, may the Risen Savior guide and bless his first steps in the faith.

I would also like to express my deep appreciation for all those who worked to make our Fabulous Fish fries a success. It was just wonderful to see so many young families offering their time and talent as volunteers, and just as welcome to see so many people enjoying one another's company as they ate together. May God reward all of you for your kindness.
